Shotokan Karate

Club History

Ellesmere Port Shotokan Karate Club is affiliated to the Karate Union of Great Britain.  It has a long history and has taught many hundreds of local people the art of Shotokan karate in it's dojo.

Formed over forty years ago when karate in this country was in it's infancy by Sensei Eddie Taft.  It is the oldest  karate club in Ellesmere Port, and indeed one of the oldest in the country!

Although many students have acheived black belt status, the aim of the club remains the same; to help each individual to acheive their own personal best and develop a "never give up attitude"
